Not only is the house aesthetically beautiful with spacious rooms and outdoor areas for guests, but the house began as a wedding gift itself! Josiah Kilgore built the house for his daughter Mary on the occasion of her wedding in 1838. Mary and her groom recited their vows in the front parlor before setting up their household.
